Parish Council Meetings

We welcome all to the Parish Council Meetings held on the 3rd Monday of the month (except December) to make suggestions and raise community issues. Just pop along to the Chapel at 7pm and meet the councillors.

Disclosures of Interest. To receive any disclosures of interesting matters to be considered at Meetings in accordance with the provisions of section 94 and 117 of the Local Government Act 1972 or the National Code of Local Government Conduct.

1. Financial update and signing of the minutes of previous meeting.

2. Financial/Staffing Committee- to examine setting up a financial and staffing committee.

3. Grass cutting contract-look at the tenders that have been received for the grass cutting contract and to award the contract.

4. Village Hall-update on the Village Hall

5. Play-park-any information on play park fund raising. Play park inspection report.

6. Olympic Torch

7. Winter maintenance update on winter maintenance

8. Any planning applications received to include 8/23/262PA change of use of barn in to residential dwelling with single storey rear extension Low Farm Stables Camela Lane and also details on proposed change to Submission Draft Core Strategy.

9. Allotments-look at new allotment rules and new allotment charges which will be implemented in January 2013. Allotment at Barlow Lane- current situation on this allotment

10. The date of the next newsletter

11. Correspondence to include: Lytag News, Craven Rail, White Rose update and Gridline.

12. Any small items not included on the agenda

Anti-social Behaviour

The Parish Council occasionally receives complaints of anti-social behaviour. If such an occurrence arises please report your issue to the police on their non-emergency line:

0845 60 60 247

So they can act to rectify the situation. We have raised issues with the police in the past, which they were not aware of and hence could do nothing about. Incidents can be reported anonymously and if you ask them not to call at your address they will of course oblige.

Please inform the Parish Council of any concerns regarding crimes, as we raise them at the quarterly Join Action Group (JAG) meetings held by the district council and North Yorkshire Police. Please email or come along to one of our meetings to let us know if there is an issue.
