As well as the curb-side collection of recylable waste organised by Selby District Council, Camblesforth also has communal recycling
facilities on the site of the Village Hall.
Please help us to keen the recycling facilities tidy for the sake of
people living near the site. If the bin you want to use is full, take your
recycling home and
let us know that it needs emptying.
Paper
Please note that the paper recylcing bin at the Village Hall is for paper ONLY (i.e. no card please)
Cans
As for the curb-side collection, please make sure cans are rinsed and crushed to help us make most out
of the capacity of the bin
Plastics
This facility is only available at the Village Hall (i.e. not via the curb-side collection service).
We can only collect
plastic bottles that have a 1, 2 or 3 on them. Look for the little
recycling triangle (don't worry if the text underneath is different or missing).

Please don't put plastic bags, ready-meal trays etc. into the bins. Plastic is difficult
to recycle so by restricting the types of plastic in this way we ensure that
the end product is useable. Contamination of the bin with the wrong
materials could lead to the whole batch going to land-fill! Don't be the
one to undo everyone's hard work sorting their plastics.
Composting
Not available at the Village Hall, but you can reduce the amount of rubbish you send to landfill still further by ordering a composting
bin from Recycle Now in collaboration with North Yorkshire County Council.
